Super Smash Bros. Brawl

I told you I would make a game review!!

Super Smash Bros. Brawl
One of Nintendo's most awaited titles, does it Stand up to what it should be????
And the answer is a determined "Yes." SSBB, or Brawl, as it is fondly called, stands up for what it was meant for. If you have played Super Smash Bros. Melee, you'll see a major graphic change, with details becoming much more enhanced, but everything running smoothly at the same speed as its predecessor. The inclusion of the online mode attracted even more players. The Subspace Emissary has a beautiful story line and breathtaking visuals in the cut scenes, but the only thing that mars this is the long loading time. Combat is repetitive and, upon facing the enemies again and again, you'll find yourself slightly bored.

Single Player
The single player mode of SSBB has many options. There are Stadium, Training, Classic, and Subspace Emissary(after you unlock all the characters, All Star is unlocked). Stadium contains three more sections, which are Multi Man brawl, Home Run Contest, and Target Test. training helps you format your enemy for special practice. classic practically has you defeat several enemies and target tests to finally reach Master Hand and defeat him. Finally, Subspace Emissary. A beautiful, cinematic story that starts off with Mario and Kirby facing off in a floating stadium. The graphics far excel what most people thought were the limits of them. The many brawlers from around the artificial world meet up and enter Subspace where the real enemy, Tabuu, islocated. However, as mentioned before, the fighting gets extremely repetitive, the cut-scenes, although gorgeous, have a long loading time that ruins the splendour, and the whole time that should be taken to finish the story is only a dismal 7 hours.

Multiplayer
If you look back in the timeline of the Super Smash Bros. Franchise, you'll realise that the series is not known for deep storyline and its single-player campaign, but for the thrilling multiplayer. Brawl keeps the reputation in safe hands. Far excelling the multiplayer modes in the previous games, Brawl enhances graphics to a new level by detailing the backgrounds, characters, and menu screen. What used to be a plain old blue and red Mario in overalls, is now a detailed Mario with even the fabric of the cloth able to be seen. The addition of new stages like Spear Pillar with interactive mosters/creatures in the background just makes it more fun. In one of the stages, the Parasite Queen from Metroid Prime suddenly turns the whole stage upside down. New items, most notably the Smash Ball, were introduced, giving the player a chance to destroy, startle, or attack an enemy. The Smash Ball, once broken, allows the player to unleash devastating special attacks that usually send the foe flying. Multiplayer can be played with splitscreen on one console or online with friends.
The all-new Stage Builder!
There are new modes in the Special Brawl, allowing you to choose the gravity of the stadium, and if you want the character to be huge or small, heavy or light, curry or metal, and many more. What's more, you can even create your own stage and play on it, and there are a few select stages from Melee available. This gives you the pride of having your own stadium. I built a stage myself that was called HARD, and was rightfully named so. Another suitable name for it would have been "Annoying!!!!" Anyway, we get on to the verdict.
